Apple Prepares to Unveil the HomeView Smart Hub

Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman revealed today in his latest Power On newsletter that Apple is launching its first smart home hub. The technology giant will officially name this innovative device the HomeView. Furthermore, the company plans to introduce the product during its “Welcome Home” event on October 13. Consequently, excited customers can expect shipments to begin in November.

A Nostalgic Yet Futuristic Design

Interestingly, the HomeView features a design highly reminiscent of the iconic iMac G4. Many users affectionately call this classic computer the “lamp PC.” Therefore, the new device showcases a striking floating screen. Below the display, a robust speaker base anchors the unit.

Moreover, the powerful A18 chip will drive this versatile machine. The manufacturer will also offer a dedicated wall-mounted version for ultimate placement flexibility.

Vibrant Color Options

According to the original report, the standard desktop model will arrive in four beautiful colors. Specifically, buyers can choose from Space Gray, Silver, Starlight, and Pink. However, the sleek wall-mounted edition will only launch in Space Gray and Silver finishes.

Advanced AI and Voice Integration

Gurman stated that the HomeView relies primarily on seamless voice interaction. Consequently, an advanced AI Siri serves as the core intelligence of the system. The bright display allows users to easily view information from across the room.

Additionally, the hub will run proprietary native applications. Surprisingly, the device will not support the standard App Store. Nevertheless, users might still project third-party application widgets directly onto the screen using their iPhones.
