GMK TriggerKey Keycaps Add Adjustable Actuation to Mechanical Switches
German keyboard maker GMK has unveiled a clever new accessory for gamers. The company has launched TriggerKey, a keycap built around a patented lever structure, as Guru3D reports.
Adjustable Actuation Without Magnetic Switches
The design brings a new kind of freedom to ordinary mechanical switches. Players can now enjoy an adjustable trigger point. Until now, that feature belonged mainly to magnetic and other analog switches.
How GMK TriggerKey Works
TriggerKey targets gaming. A spring that the user can tighten delivers smooth and precise control. The keycap sits on top of a mechanical switch and fits MX-style cross stems.
It also offers three distinct contact points, each with its own feel. Players simply choose the response that suits their style.
Tilt and Materials
The keycap tilts by up to 34 degrees. Thanks to this movement, fingers glide across the key with a natural rhythm. Meanwhile, the top cap is made of ABS plastic using a double-shot injection process. That method keeps the legends sharp and durable.
Price
A four-piece TriggerKey set costs 49 euros, tax included. For gamers who want analog-style control, it is a modest upgrade. It also spares them the cost of replacing an entire keyboard.
