ASUS NUC 14 Essential Fanless Mini PC Debuts
ASUS recently unveiled a remarkable new desktop solution. Specifically, the ASUS NUC 14 Essential Fanless mini PC has officially launched on the company website. This elegant machine serves as a passively cooled derivative of the standard NUC 14 Essential. Remarkably, it occupies a mere 0.74 liters of spatial volume. Consequently, it delivers absolute silence without sacrificing utility.
Efficient Intel Twin Lake Processors
The system proudly supports the latest Intel N150 and N250 processors. These efficient Twin Lake chips feature a frugal 6W thermal design power. Therefore, the device maintains exceptional thermal control. Furthermore, it retains the impressive expansion capabilities of its standard counterpart. However, engineers increased the overall thickness from 36mm to 48.2mm to accommodate the robust passive cooling solution.
Generous Expansion Capabilities
Despite the internal changes, the physical footprint remains highly compact. The length and width hold steady at 135mm by 115mm. Inside, the motherboard provides a single DDR5 SO-DIMM slot for memory expansion. Additionally, storage options include one M.2 2280 PCIe slot alongside an M.2 2242 SATA bay.
Connectivity remains thoroughly modern and versatile. The system seamlessly supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 technologies. Finally, a high-speed 2.5GbE RJ-45 port ensures reliable wired network connectivity.
