iOS 27.2 Beta Brings Dynamic Island HomeKit Controls
Smart Home Integration Gets Easier
Reliable source Aaron Perris recently shared an intriguing update on X. He revealed that the iOS 27.2 Beta 3 update introduces fresh HomeKit code. Consequently, iPhone 18 Pro users can soon control nearby smart home accessories directly from the Dynamic Island.
How the Proximity Manager Works
Furthermore, this new HomeKit code includes a sophisticated “proximity manager”. Therefore, the Dynamic Island will automatically display relevant control options whenever a user approaches a compatible smart home device. As a result, individuals can swiftly adjust lighting, temperature, and other settings without opening the Home application. Technology analyst Aaron (@aaronp613) posted an AI-generated mockup on X. This detailed visualization clearly demonstrates how the Dynamic Island might render these intuitive smart home control interfaces.
