Apple HomeView With Robotic Arm
According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman in his latest Power On newsletter, a groundbreaking device is coming. Apple plans to launch a revolutionary smart home hub equipped with a robotic arm. Consequently, consumers might see this release as early as 2027. You can read the full Bloomberg newsletter for more details.
Innovative Smart Home Robotics
This upcoming product will feature a highly advanced electric robotic arm. Therefore, the device can rotate a full 360 degrees around its base. Additionally, it uses voice recognition to automatically turn toward anyone speaking. The new HomeView hub will likely feature a stunning 9-inch display. Ultimately, the device feels much more like an interactive companion than a standard smart screen.
A Premium Position in the Market
Interestingly, this machine is not a direct successor to the standard HomeView. Instead, it represents a significantly higher-end tier within the Apple ecosystem. Currently, insiders refer to this ambitious project by the codename J595. Furthermore, Gurman notes that Apple might introduce a completely new name before the official launch. Alternatively, the company could simply attach premium suffixes like Max or Ultra to the existing brand.
Apple’s Expanding Robotic Vision
In reality, Apple has explored robotic arm technology for several years. Previously, rumors in 2024 suggested the company wanted to pivot its automotive robotics research into the domestic sphere. Later, reports from August 2024 indicated Apple was actively developing a household robot. Specifically, its early design closely resembled an iPad mounted on a flexible robotic arm.
