Perplexity Arrives on Device
Microsoft hosted an exciting Surface hardware launch event today, October 8. During the presentation, the tech giant proudly showcased a diverse array of third-party artificial intelligence agent tools. Most notably, they highlighted a remarkable “portable computer” utility developed by Perplexity. This sophisticated tool possesses the extraordinary capability to execute numerous complex AI tasks directly on the device. Consequently, users can perform heavy computational workloads without ever consuming their valuable Perplexity cloud credits.
Meta Muse Agent Coming to Windows
Furthermore, a significant announcement captured the audience’s attention during the keynote. Pavan Davuluri, the distinguished head of Microsoft’s Windows and Devices division, revealed a thrilling collaboration. He officially declared that the highly anticipated Muse agent is coming to Windows. Meta developed this powerful tool, which will debut as a fully native application on the platform. It will also seamlessly integrate the robust MXC Software Development Kit to ensure optimal performance.
Simplifying the AI Experience
In addition to these software partnerships, Microsoft announced further enhancements to the operating system itself. The company plans to introduce an innovative “Getting Started Guide” deeply embedded within Windows. This intuitive feature aims to assist users in configuring and launching their AI agents much faster and with significantly greater ease. Finally, OpenClaw will also release a dedicated, native Windows gateway to further expand the platform’s AI ecosystem.
